Nemausus 1, designed by Jean Nouvel in Nîmes during the 1980s, is a public housing project with bold lines resembling a modern ocean liner. Breaking away from the stereotypes of social housing, the building offers spacious, bright, and flexible living spaces aimed at improving residents' quality of life. Nouvel used industrial materials such as steel and aluminum to give the structure a contemporary and durable aesthetic. The architecture of Nemausus 1 embodies a utopian vision, where social housing is synonymous with comfort and innovation. This project marked a turning point in public housing design in France.

The Grand Palais is currently undergoing the most extensive renovation in its history. The film, directed by Stefan Cornic, tells the story of the current and past renovation projects. The building is scheduled to reopen in three stages: during the 2024 Olympic Games, when it will host fencing and taekwondo competitions in the nave; in 2025, when the Réunion des musées nationaux galleries will open to the general public; and in 2026, when the Palais de la Découverte will unveil its new exhibition spaces.
