| 12:44 | | Aerosmith - Rock Legends
In a career of four turbulent decades of excesses and highs, Aerosmith became the biggest selling American rock band of all time. The ‘Bad Boys’ came together in 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts. Aerosmith’s third release, ‘Toys in the Attic’ made them international stars. Lead single,’Sweet Emotion’ became their first top 40 hit. In 1987 Aerosmith released their biggest selling album in over a decade, ‘Permanent Vacation’. The ‘Nine Lives’ tour was troubled, but in 1998 Aerosmith’s fortunes would change once again.
Released as part of the soundtrack to the film, ‘Armageddon’, ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ would become the biggest single of their career. In 2012 Aerosmith released the single, ‘Legendary Child’. It had been eight years since they had produced new material but along with the track came the album, ‘Music from another Dimension’. Featuring archive material, music videos – “I DON’T WANNA MISS A THING” “JANIES GOT A GUN” and, exclusive insights from music critics and journalists JOHN AIZLEWOOD (Evening Standard), DANIELLE PERRY (XFM), WILL HODGKINSON (The Times) & CAMILLA PIA (BBC Radio 6).
| 06:14 | | Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti: Album Under Review
This is a documentary film about the build-up, making, release, and - crucially - music contained on this most revered of albums. With the aid of rare and classic performances, scarce interviews, seldom seen photographs and contributions from those involved in the making of the record - plus the review and critique from a panel of Zeppelin experts - this program finally lifts the lid on what many believe to be Led Zep's very finest offering. With contributions from; the album's engineer, Ron Nevison; former Yardbird, Chris Dreja; Swansong recording artist, Maggie Bell; author of The Rough Guide to Led Zeppelin, Nigel Williamson; Tight But Loose editor, Dave Lewis; Classic Rock Magazine's Malcolm Dome; renowned guitar tutor and author, Rikky Rooksby and Robert Plant biographer, Neil Daniels. This is the complete story behind what what Rolling Stone called "their Tommy, Beggar's Banquet and Sgt. Pepper rolled into one".
