The Doors - Live in Europe

While the nails were starting to be driven into the hippie generation's coffin, an L.A. band would cast an influence and signal a new movement of musical artistry that would prove to be a hard act to follow. In the late-60's, the Doors would help lead a new musical revolution that would throw a middle finger in the face of society and distance itself from all the turmoil that shaped the political climate by literally creating mass hysteria on their own. This concert, filmed in 1968 during the Band's tour across Europe, include live performances of 'Spanish Caravan', 'Five to One', and two versions of 'Light My Fire'.

Deep Purple - Live in Verona

Filmed in the spectacular surroundings of the Arena di Verona, a Roman amphitheater originally built in 30 AD, this concert from the summer of 2011 sees Deep Purple joined on stage by a full symphony orchestra for performances of all their classic tracks. Janis Joplin - The Day the Rockstar Died

Janis Joplin was one of the most successful and widely-known female rock stars of her era. After releasing three albums, she died of a heroin overdose at the age of 27. Her fourth album, Pearl, was released in January 1971, just over three months after her death. It reached number one on the Billboard charts. Her Legacy. Simply Red - Rock Legends

In a career spanning over 25 years, Simply Red blended soul, reggae and jazz to the success of fifty million album sales. The man fronting the group was Mick Hucknall. His distinctive soul tone saw some regard him as one of the voices of his generation. Simply Red would find global success with a revision of a song Hucknall wrote whilst in the Frantic Elevators. Upon its second release in 1986, ‘Holding Back the Years’ notably reached number one on the US Billboard Charts. By 1991, Simply Red were a global success story; after a two year wait they released the much anticipated single, ‘Something Got Me Started’ which showed a new direction for the band. In 2005 Simply Red released the album, ‘Stay’. It would be Mick Hucknall’s last recording under the group name. Scorpions - Moment Of Glory

This concert from the Scorpions home city of Hanover was the climax of EXPO2000. The legendary German rock band, with worldwide album sales in excess of 75 million, perform live on stage with the perhaps even more legendary Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Kolonovits. The concert was a recreation of their "Moment Of Glory" album, also recorded with the BPO, which took their classic tracks and gave them a full orchestral backing.

Jerry Lee Lewis - Jerry Lee Lewis and Friends

Jerry Lee Lewis is one of the founding fathers of Rock n Roll. He was one of the original Sun Records quartet along with Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash who between them defined the music of a generation. His recording career has stretched from the mid-50s to the present day and his unique style of piano playing has influenced scores of musicians over the years. This concert, recorded at London's Hammersmith Apollo in 1989, features the killer in performances of his classic tracks such as Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On, What Id Say, High School Confidential and Great Balls Of Fire all delivered in his own inimitable fashion. Joining him on stage are a great list of guests including Van Morrison, Dave Edmunds, John Lodge, Brian May, Stuart Adamson and Dave Davies.
